Agha Bayramov
Dr. Agha Bayramov is the Co-founder of The Hague Research Institute for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia as well as the editor of the Institute’s publication platform. His research interests are energy security, geopolitics, the Caspian Sea region, Eurasia, infrastructure, and climate change. Dr. Bayramov has spent extensive time conducting field research in the Caspian Sea region. He was a research fellow in the Center for Eastern European Studies at the University of Zurich in 2022. Dr.Bayramov delivered (online) guest lectures at Harvard University’s Davis Center in 2023 and the University of Zurich in 2022. Dr. Bayramov received his PhD and MA degrees from the University of Groningen and his BA degree from the Middle Eastern Technical University. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations and International Organization of the University of Groningen.
