Allard Duursma
Allard Duursma is an Assistant Professor in Conflict Management and International Relations at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on how mediation and peacekeeping can help to prevent and end armed conflict. He also studies the links between patronage politics and political order. He completed my PhD at the University of Oxford in 2015, focusing on the role of legitimacy in the mediation process. Following the completion of my PhD, Allard held Postdoctoral positions at the University of Manchester and the London School of Economics (LSE). He is a deputy-editor at International Peacekeeping, a permanent contributor to Political Violence at a Glance, and he coordinates the Conflict Research Society Book of the Year Prize.
